Diablo IV Anniversary Event Starts June 2

Blizzard is preparing a week-long anniversary event for Diablo IV, giving players a fresh reason to return to Sanctuary across every platform where the game is available. Running from June 2 through June 9, the celebration brings together bonus progression, a returning goblin-focused activity, and a set of free cosmetic rewards that can be claimed through the in-game shop. For longtime players, it is a nice excuse to jump back into the action, while newer adventurers have a strong opportunity to level up faster and collect some limited-time items along the way.

One of the biggest highlights of the event is Mother’s Blessing, which begins on June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. This bonus grants increased multiplicative XP in both Seasonal and Eternal realms, making it especially valuable for anyone trying to push a fresh character forward, complete seasonal goals, or simply speed through progression with an existing build. Bonus experience events are always popular in Diablo IV because they make every dungeon run, world event, and monster-filled trek feel more rewarding. Whether players are focused on endgame optimization or just trying out a new class, the timing of this boost should make the entire week feel more productive.

Alongside the XP boost, Blizzard is also bringing back March of the Goblins. This event puts the spotlight on Diablo’s famously greedy treasure carriers, encouraging players to hunt down swarms of goblins for extra rewards. Goblin events tend to create a more chaotic and exciting rhythm in the game, since these enemies can appear suddenly and often trigger frantic chases as players try to stop them from escaping. During this celebration, the event reputation board returns as well, giving players another progression path to work through while the festivities are active. Reaching the final rank on that board rewards the Regalia of the Sacred Creed, offering another incentive for dedicated players to stay active throughout the event window.

Free cosmetics are another major part of the anniversary celebration. Beginning on June 1 at 12:00 p.m. PDT, a new gift will appear in the in-game shop each day through June 6. Players will then have until June 9 to claim all available rewards. These items are weapon cosmetics, giving players a chance to add some extra style to their demon-slaying loadouts without spending anything. Limited-time cosmetic giveaways are often an effective way to keep the community engaged, and this lineup includes a variety of weapon types that should appeal to different classes and builds.

The first reward is Blood Raven’s Talon, a one-handed sword cosmetic. On the second day, players can claim King Kanai’s Last Stand, a shield cosmetic. Day three adds Nangari Wounder, a dagger cosmetic, while day four brings Overlord’s Odium, a two-handed axe cosmetic. The fifth reward is Flamefinger’s Claws, a glaive cosmetic. Together, these items offer a solid spread of visual customization options, and because they are being released on a daily schedule, players will want to keep an eye on the shop throughout the event period to make sure they do not miss any of them.

The celebration also arrives at a useful moment for Diablo IV as Blizzard continues to support the game with ongoing content and broader franchise milestones. The developers have framed this event as part of a larger year of activity, suggesting that this anniversary week is only one piece of a wider slate of Diablo-related plans. That gives the event a little more significance than a simple login bonus campaign. It feels more like a checkpoint in the game’s continuing evolution, one that rewards the current player base while also reminding lapsed fans that there is still plenty happening in Sanctuary.

For players who already spend time in Seasonal content, the increased XP should make it easier to refine builds, unlock rewards, and experiment with alternate characters. For those in Eternal realms, the event offers a welcome boost without requiring a fresh start. Meanwhile, collectors and fashion-focused players have a clear reason to log in daily and secure each cosmetic before the deadline passes. Combined with the goblin event and the reputation reward, there is enough here to make the week feel meaningful even if the celebration is relatively short.

Diablo IV remains available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam and Battle.net. With free weapon cosmetics, faster leveling, and more monster-hunting opportunities packed into a single week, this anniversary event looks like a strong incentive for players to return and carve through the forces of Hell once again.

Celebrations are upon us, wanderer! To mark another gilded age of Sanctuary, free gifts and events to savour this brief period of respite are here. The festivities begin on June 2 until June 9, with limited-time events and free weapon cosmetics to claim.

While this week has festivities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Diablo, much is brewing on the horizon throughout the year. The celebrations continue…
