Stage Builder in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Stage Builder

Smash Bros. DOJO’s latest update is a stage builder. How awesome is that? The options look pretty in-depth, so it will be interesting to see what people can come up with once they get their hands on it. You basically pick the initial stage, modify it, change the music, etc. These can also be sent to friends online, which is cool.

Warhammer 40K: Squad Command Demo

That’s right, you can download a demo for the upcoming Warhammer 40K game on your PSP. The game looks pretty cool, and if your in to strategy games you should check it out here.

Eye of Judgement

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

I think I want to get a PS3 now, more then ever. I used to play actual card games like this, and the idea of it being combined with the video game aspect is pretty interesting. I love the 3D view card profile, how awesome is that? I so want to get this game.

RPG Cliches

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

IGN has a pretty funny article up about RPG cliches. I shouldn’t say funny, it’s more sad, actually, how so many RPG’s have these cliches. Some of the better ones include “Humble Beginnings”, “The Errand Boy”, and “Morality, Schmorality!”.

It’s so true. Every RPG I can think of in recent memory involves me running around stealing items from treasure chests inside peoples houses and killing countless people. Does anyone ever say anything about it? No, because we have to save the world, a little blood on our hands here and there is irrelevant. The point is, RPG’s, especially Japanese RPG’s, really need some fresh new ideas.

PS2 Turned Seven Yesterday, I Forgot

PS2 Turns Seven

The PS2 is going to be soooo pissed at me. Yesterday was it’s birthday, and I didn’t so much as give it a card. October 26th…how could I forgot something important like this? I’m such a jerk.

I can’t believe it was seven years ago the PS2 came out. I remember the first games I got for the system were Twisted Metal Black and Dark Cloud (I didn’t get the PS2 right when it was released). Anyway, 120 million PS2 have shipped since it’s release, and literally billions of games. That’s insane, the amount of money generated is just crazy. I think I’m going to make it up to the PS2 by playing Persona 3, that’s the least I can do.

Spore on Wii

In a recent interview with Guardian, Will Wright confirmed that Spore was coming to the Wii:

We’re doing Spore on the Wii, and we did MySims. It takes signifcant. PS3 and Xbox 360 are similar enough that you can. So it comes down to what the interesting major platforms are and which markets we want to hit.

Awesome Radical Retro Prospective: A Boy and His Blob

Friday, October 26th, 2007

This week’s retro prospective spotlights A Boy and His Blob: Trouble in Blobolonia, which was first released in 1989 for the NES. The game was pretty weird but that’s what made it so awesome. Basically, it’s a side scrolling platformer, with a twist. The whole time you have a blob friend (named Blobert, apparently) that followed you around and helped you solve puzzles. (more…)

Could a Square Character Appear in Brawl?

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Cloud

I was listening to IGN’s Wii-k In Review today, a podcast where the Wii editors talk about all things Nintendo. They were talking about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and mentioned that they were waiting for “…the big Square character unveil…”. I never really thought about it, does this rumor have any truth? How awesome would it be if there was? The Awesome Radical scale might hit 11/10. (more…)

Orcs & Elves

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Seriously, this looks like the worst game ever. How long did they work on this for before they decided “You know what, let’s just stop and release it.” I guess the burning quest is if there are, in fact, any orcs and elves in this game, or if the game creators just felt like that name just fit. I don’t care that it’s a mobile phone port, it still sucks. (more…)

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

Resident Evil on rails…honestly, not excited. I don’t even know why I posted this, really. Why can’t the Wii get a real new Resident Evil instead of an shooter on rails?

I guess everyone who owns a Wii is too young or too old or just not hardcore enough to buy this, anyway. Am I right?
