In the lead-up to Dawntrail, the schedule for Final Fantasy XIV has been brimming with events, including the return of the Dragon Quest collaboration event, Breaking Brick Mountains, on June 5th. The event will run concurrently with the Moogle Treasure Trove: The Second Hunt for Genesis, the Yo-kai Watch collaboration, and the latest iteration of the Free Login Campaign, allowing returning players to participate without a subscription for up to 96 hours. Breaking Brick Mountains, returning for its fifth iteration, will start at 1 a.m. PDT/4 a.m. EST on June 5th, and players can participate in events until June 20th, with ample time to participate in the FATEs and acquire Dragon Quest themed items like the King Slime Crown.
Along with the many notable Final Fantasy XIV activities to keep players entertained as they eagerly anticipate Dawntrail, there’s a unique catchphrase that the FFXIV Community Blog has adopted for the event—”gettin’ jiggly with it”—inspired by the King Slime Crown. These events and other fun collaborations are a part of the ongoing festivities aimed at engaging the player base and keeping them occupied during the wait for the next major release.
The Seasonal Event Replay feature of FFXIV allows players who have completed the event in previous years to relive all of the Dragon Quest references. Regardless of whether they partake in the events or not, players should expect to see the whimsical spectacle of many wobbly slime hats throughout the game universe.
