Did anyone out there play an amazing game called Lost Odyssey? This game is hands down one of the best RPG’s to hit the 360. I know there isn’t that much competition as the 360 doesn’t have tons of RPG’s, but it still has an OK amount. Regardless of what it has, even compared to other systems, Lost Odyssey was a truly great game. The graphics to Lost Odyssey were stunning in my humble opinion. I am a gamer that is really into graphics. I believe that one can make a so so game way better if it has amazing graphics. There is nothing wrong with eye candy. What really made Lost Odyssey so great though was a mix of its music and its story.

Ubisoft released its First Quarter Reports (2008-09) today. Sales for the company are up 25.8%. Titles launched in 2007-08, such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Assassin’s Creed and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, are mainly what brought about these numbers. While this may seem like boring news to non-business people, the company did mention some titles that will be released during the second quarter of 2008-09. The second fiscal quarter will see the following main releases: Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway and Soul Calibur IV (with Darth Vader and Yoda). I am sure everyone knew this already anyway.
Avid gamers can also look forward to the Ubisoft DS title “My SAT Coach”. I personally wish there was a gameboy game when I was younger that mixed the fun of gaming with the intelligence and vest of the SAT’s.
In other Ubisoft news the company opened up two new, randomly placed, studios. One in Kiev, no clue where that is, and Sao Paolo. Fascinating.
Does anyone out there remember a little game called Chrono Trigger? It was released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Well you should if you don’t. The game, as many gamers know, is probably one of the greatest RPG’s of all time if not the best of all time (this is open to debate if anyone disagrees). So for this long overdue edition of Radical Gaming Music we here at Awesome Radical Gaming have decided to focus on the music of Chrono Trigger.

This week I shall Introduce Music from a game that many people have heard of titled: Shadow of the Colossus. The music in this game was truly epic as was the game itself. For those of you who might not know, the game is focused around a boy who enters a forbidden land to resurrect a mysterious girl. He must seek out Colossi on his horse Agro and slay them with his sword or bow. Its a rather simple concept that played out very well. This weeks video game music comes from what I think is an extremely underrated game. Star Fox Adventures for the Nintendo Gamecube. I know a lot of people loved the original Star Fox and all the flying and whatnot, but this action RPG was awesome. IGN gave this game a 9.0, and for good reason. Mainly because it is a radical game. It was probably underrated, in regards to gamers, because nobody cared about the Gamecube, or didn’t want to give it a chance. Today we start our gaming music section. Who out there doesn’t love video game music. At this point its ingrained in our memories. Who doesn’t know the Mario music, or the Mortal Kombat theme. Remember when video game music was so repetitive that it would start to give the player a headache? I do. God I hate Video Game Music. SIKE!
